Post on May 7 Activities

On May 7, 2018, I added several photos in Instagram - photos showing the interior of DunkinDonuts on Annapolis Road and then photos taken on Annapolis Road.

That day, I walked over to DunkinDonuts to get some work done. The comment for one of the photos (in Instagram) was: "At #DunkinDonuts....about to work on updating my resume then I will send to more universities."

I felt like taking more photos so I did! I was not wearing makeup (like a lot of folks out there, I do not wear makeup when exercising)....

The comment for the full photo (in Instagram) was:
"I asked a guy by the bus stop to take a photo of me using my phone."
So I guess that is a "true" image of me. Disappointing that it is blurry.

The comment for the last photo was:
"Another long walk today....almost there.
Last time, just before moving (to Gainesville, FL), I visited the hospital for tests (a few pics in my moorefo1 Instagram account). I am moving again. A few tests before I go would be great. Not sure I could afford it though."
I was really tired & not sure when I would make it home.

My very useful food/weight loss blog...

This food/weight loss blog turned out really well. It benefits me in many ways.

There is a focus on linkages between sites. I have been using such linkages for some time. An example:

My Facebook food journal (https://www.facebook.com/fahmeena.moore2) is linked to my Instagram food journal (https://www.instagram.com/moorefo1picblog/) - I usually send copies of photos from my phone/Instagram to Facebook and other accounts.
My Twitter food journal (https://twitter.com/FMoorePicBlog) is linked to my Instagram food journal and my Tumblr food journal/weight loss blog.
I have a main weight loss blog that integrates them all - http://moorefo1wl.blogspot.com/.

5/24 Morning

I looked back at my post on 5/6 and realized I was spot on about a lot of things. I did get very busy for a while which affected my eating habits. Somehow when you get busy or "out of sorts," well-made plans fall by the wayside. Planning or preparation is important though. For example, you can plan to drink 3 bottles of water each day or plan to exercise 3 times a week.

"If you fail to prepare/plan, prepare to fail." - attributed to Benjamin Franklin
"To be prepared is half the victory." - Miguel De Cervantes

You can anticipate problems and work that into your plans.  Knowledge from your past will help.
I anticipated lots of food with a lot of tasty, high-calorie food options at the recent wedding so I prepared for it by eating a healthy, hunger-busting snack before getting there.

"In order to plan your future wisely, it is necessary that you understand and appreciate your past."
- Jo Coudert

"Happy is the person who knows what to remember of the past, what to enjoy in the present, and what to plan for in the future."

I weighed in at a recent doctor's visit. So far, I have lost a total of 60 pounds.
I still have about 40-50 pounds to lose. In a next post, I will explain why I do not like to weigh myself very often.

I am moving to Florida very soon....in a few days. I am now reflecting on my weight loss journey and thinking about issues I may encounter in Florida. Would I need to change my diet?
Would I be extremely busy for a while which may lead to some over-eating and other issues?
I hope not. I did successfully stay away from certain foods during the past 6 months or so. But I do "indulge in" pizza and cake and ice cream every once in a while. It helps me feel less deprived.
I must continue to stay away from those fattening foods.
I must continue to eat: rotisserie chicken, salads, soups.
I must continue with my small portion sizes for other foods.
I must continue to drink lots of liquid, but the low calorie kind.
I must continue to stay active.
I must continue this diet.
