It has been a while since I posted an update. Here's the latest:
- So far, I dropped about 20 pounds.
- I have adopted a healthier lifestyle.
- I am still on the diet. I have much more weight to lose.

Here are some things I learned during the past few months:
- Making small changes could make a big difference. For example, when I visited my aunt in Florida, I substituted sodas and other sugary drinks with Crystal Light.
- It is better to plan your meals for an entire week and prepare in advance rather than eat "on the fly". With meals you prepared waiting for you in the refrigerator, you are less likely to be tempted and eat unnecessary foods.
- You can force yourself to do something that is difficult by making changes that would lead you to do that thing (because there is no other choice). For example, if you want to walk more, you could get rid of your car. This helps with discipline.
- Life's challenges are difficult but provide benefits. In other words, every cloud has a silver lining and, as stated in the Bible, all things work for good.
